My Journey Goes On visits the Diocese of Novaliches

Delegates of the Diocese of Novaliches to World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Jenairo, Brazil, in partnership with the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF), held a Prayer-Concert featuring songs from My Journey Goes On, Songs and Reflections from the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Leadership Journey, at the Palace of the Rock in St. Peter’s Parish, Quezon City last Saturday, June 15, 2013.

“The Our Journey Goes On Prayer Concert was love, faith and charity showcased in one great show,” shared project head Marlon Peralta, a graduate of the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Leadership Journey (Batch 2), the core youth formation program of the Foundation, and one of the World Youth Day delegates of the Diocese of Novaliches. “It brought timely and substantial reflections and beautifully arranged inspirational songs that captivated the hearts of its audience across all ages.”

Reflection points were given by Fr. Jessel Gerard “JBoy” Gonzales, SJ with personal sharing from Ms. Ara Laiza Roldan, also a graduate (Batch 4) of the formation program, Mr. Francis Aquino-Dee of NCAF, and Ms. Donna May Babiano, another World Youth Day delegate from the diocese.

“Behind the laughs I had with [Fr. Jboy] is an indelible message etched in my heart, that is, to love unconditionally the people surrounding me,” said Emanuel Balajadia who attended the Prayer Concert. “I felt the love of God from the voices of the singers, the solemn venue, and the lyrics of the songs perfectly chosen for the event.”

Songs from the album were also performed during the recollection by the NCAF Music Ministry, led by Where’s the Sheep Vocalist Michael Shimamoto.

My Journey Goes On is produced by NCAF President and Executive Director Mr. Rafael C. Lopa and NCAF Board of Trustee Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ, the popular Jesuit composer, and arranged by Mr. John Paulo Reyes of the Bukas Palad Ministry. The album features the NCAF Music Ministry and some Journey graduates.

The songs and reflections points, both featured prominently during the Journey weekends, are arranged around sound bytes from speeches of former Sen. Ninoy and Pres. Cory Aquino themselves on their experiences as leaders.

You may get a copy of the album, My Journey Goes On, for a minimum donation of  PhP 250.00.
