The My Journey Goes On: Songs and Reflections from the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Leadership Journey is now available for a minimum donation of Php. 250.00 to the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Foundation (NCAF).
To forward its advocacy of leadership rooted in service and love beyond the core youth formation program of NCAF and the Ninoy & Cory Aquino Center for Leadership (NCACL), the Foundation launches My Journey Goes On, a musical album aiming to capture the experience of the program as an aid for reflection.
“The album contains ten moving tracks together with reflection points for everyone to use for his or her own personal journey in search of meaning and fulfillment in life,” NCAF President and Executive Director Rafael C. Lopa shared.
The tracks and reflections points, both featured prominently during the Journey weekends, are arranged around sound bites from the former Sen. Ninoy and Pres. Cory Aquino themselves on their experiences as leaders.
My Journey Goes On is produced by Mr. Lopa and NCAF Board of Trustee Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ, the popular Jesuit composer, and arranged by John Paulo Reyes of the Bukas Palad Ministry. The album features the NCAF Music Ministry led by Where’s the Sheep Vocalist Michael Shimamoto.
Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey
The program was launched in November 2010 and has since engaged 200 student-leaders from eight batches nationwide. The Journey invites the youth to undergo a transformative experience and be living witnesses of leadership. The hope is for the young person to commit to a life of service and mission through effective and impactful community work. Moving forward, the program plans to engage more young people and to cultivate a community of leaders.
